VidantaWorld Elegant is A Floating Luxury Resort

VidantaWorldโ€™s Elegant brings resort-style luxury to the sea with intimate spaces, premium service, and stunning destinations.

Thereโ€™s a new name entering the world of ultra-luxury cruising, and itโ€™s bringing a very different vibe to the ocean. While brands like Four Seasons, Orient Express, Ritz-Carlton, and Aman have already made their move, VidantaWorld is now stepping in with its very first ship, called Elegant, and it officially sets sail on April 11, 2026.

Now, if youโ€™re not familiar with VidantaWorld, itโ€™s part of Grupo Vidanta and is known for creating some seriously high-end resort experiences in Mexico, especially in Nuevo Vallarta and Riviera Maya. These arenโ€™t your typical resortsโ€”they blend luxury stays with theme park-style fun, world-class dining, wellness experiences, and even Cirque du Soleil shows, all designed around this idea of entertainment surrounded by nature.

What theyโ€™re doing now is taking that same experience out to sea with something called VidantaWorld Voyages. And instead of going big like traditional cruise ships, theyโ€™re going exclusive. Elegant is being described as an โ€œultra-yacht,โ€ and that tells you a lot about what theyโ€™re aiming for.

Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s interesting. The ship was originally built to carry more than 600 guests, but itโ€™s been redesigned to host just 216. Thatโ€™s a huge difference, and it completely changes the onboard experience. It likely means this isnโ€™t a brand-new ship, but a refitted one. Still, the focus is clearโ€”fewer people, more space, and a much more relaxed, private atmosphere.

With only around 200 guests onboard, youโ€™re not dealing with crowded buffets or packed decks. Everything feels smoother, calmer, and way more personal. This is exactly why theyโ€™re leaning into that ultra-yacht identity, which is becoming a big trend in luxury cruising right now.

Another big highlight is the service. With such a small number of guests, the crew-to-guest ratio is almost one-to-one. That means a lot more attention, and for those staying in top-tier suites, even butler service is part of the experience.

When it comes to the rooms, theyโ€™re designed to feel both luxurious and cozy. The Deluxe Horizon Suite offers a more intimate, cocoon-like space, while the Balcony Suite gives you those sweeping ocean views that make cruising so special.

And of course, youโ€™re still getting all the amenities youโ€™d expect, just without the chaos. There are multiple hot tubs, a large pool, and even a marina deck that lets you access the sea directly. On top of that, youโ€™ve got a full-service spa, a fitness center, and a casino onboard.

Entertainment is also a big part of the experience. Youโ€™ll find live music, interactive games, DJ nights, and plenty of dining options. The difference is, you can actually enjoy all of it without fighting through crowds or waiting in long lines.

Elegantโ€™s first season runs from April 11 through October 2, and then it returns again from May to October in 2027. The routes are all about the Mediterranean, covering destinations like the French Riviera, the Greek Islands, and the coasts of Italy.

So, if you like the idea of a cruise that feels more like a private yacht experience, with fewer people and a lot more attention to detail, this is definitely one to keep an eye on.
